"ADOPTED!" is one of the great words we love to hear in horse rescue. Here at Believe Equine Rescue, we put a lot of hard work into finding great homes for great horses! We never rush the process, we believe in quality not quantity. We want the horse that has come from many failed situations to live a wonderful life in a great home.
Every horse that is adopted is vetted and evaluated. Adopters must apply and be approved before signing a contract. Every horse has a story. We learn who they are through daily interaction, training and listening carefully to their unspoken words. This helps us to match each horse with their special person; one who understands their story and loves them unconditionally.
something interesting about your business here.
Suzy Q was raised at Believe. She had a very rough start at life. Suzy was said to come from reining lines and was sent to a feed lot as a foal, starving to stand with many others headed to bad places almost 3 yrs ago. Suzy Q is a great example of why we rescue and how we change the lives of horses one at a time. Suzy Q found her very special person and has been ADOPTED! She is enjoying her life with a great young lady. Thank you to all who helped Suzy along her journey. A very special thank you to her great sponsor and trainer in Rutherford NC.
Aspen was a nurse mare foal but was luckily rescued and bottle raised. Nurse mare foals are known as the “throw away horses” they are simply born to die. Aspen was adopted from Believe Equine Rescue in 2017 as a three year old. He’s now turning 7 and has matured into a great horse with amazing potential. He’s being produced as an event horse and is showing off his true athletic ability. He’s a handful, loves to break things, steal blankets and bags, unlock gates and let everyone out, stole a tarp, and is full of “personality” but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. Lisa did an amazing job raising him and I’m so thankful for Believe Equine Rescue and all the work they do to provide these horses with a second chance at life. Aspen was one of the lucky ones and is going to live the rest of his life as an event horse with me and will stay with me through his retirement hopefully in the far future.
Red was one of 3 nurse mare foals that came To Believe Equine Rescue under severe distress. He is in his happiest place now!
